WREC Meeting Hosted by WBPA

To Organizations & Previous Participants in the Washington Real Estate Coalition (WREC), 

This is a broadcast message to the most recent database of WREC organizations and participants to invite your organization to the next upcoming WREC Meeting hosted by the Washington Business Properties Association (WBPA).

Due to limited space availability, we are asking that you limit the participation to 1 to 2 attendees from your organization. Just to recap about WREC it is an unofficial group, no dues, no structure, but we gather annually (association executives, staff, lobbyists and consultants and key volunteer professionals of WREC organizations) to discuss the coming state legislative session, talk about each organization’s key issues, support each other where we can and try to avoid conflicts when possible.

Our last in-person meeting was held on November 30, 2022. We are scheduling an additional meeting to have discussions during the interim. There are many changes in organization structures each year so if you could provide us with additional contact information of those that should receive further information, we ask that you provide the following of organizations and/or updated information to keep the WREC contact list as current as possible:

• Advocacy staff if applicable
• Lobbyist – consultants
• Top member volunteer staff – Gov. Affairs Chair type
• One or two additional people (if applicable) you would like to receive the WREC official information.

The Washington Real Estate Coalition is an alliance of nearly twenty real estate organizations in Washington State.  WREC exists to foster communication and action on governmental affairs issues of concern to the real estate industry. WREC began in 1996 and has no formal by-laws, officers, or dues. The Coalition is organized by a collective group effort. The Washington Real Estate Coalition meets once or twice each year to identify areas of agreement or potential conflict between our respective organizations and their legislative and regulatory priorities. Where consensus exists, we leverage the collective influence and resources of our partnerships to affect the best interests of our industry and community. Where conflict exists, we endeavor to resolve such conflict before interacting with government officials on our issues.
